DAY 1: (2 hours driving)
09.00: Hotel pick up. Drive west into the mountains. Visit Yao, Hmong & Htin hilltribe villages, making traditional embroidery & silver jewelry. Go inside woven-bamboo tribal hut. Lunch. Easy 20 minute jungle walk to primitive Mlabri Tribe (-Yellow Leaf Spirits-). Get back to Nan 16.30
DAY 2: (2½ hours driving)
07.30: Hotel pick up. Climb dragon staircase to hilltop panorama, Pu Min Temple, famous Lanna-lifestyle murals, Elephant Temple, Gold Buddha. Scenic drive north-east to 2000m Pu Ka Mountain…. Hilltribe salt-mines, Primeval jungle, Giant Cayota Palms, Giant ferns, Spectacular views. Sleep on Pu Ka Mountain in Bamboo Huts Resort. Beautiful outlook & star-gazing.
DAY 3: (3 hours driving)
Drive down Nan River Valley. Visit Tai Lü painted temple in the rice-fields at Nong Boa. After lunch, visit quaint Tai Lü ‘flowing water’ weaving villages (Nan’s famous home-craft). Then visit fabulous Chae Haeng dragon-temple. Get back to Nan 16.30.
